1. Limit the Number of Words on Each Slide

In creating an eLearning presentation, you have to keep in mind that you should not let your slide speak for you. You see, your slideshow is there to only assist you. It helps you remember what you need to discuss using some keywords regarding the topic you are talking about and to keep your flow. 

Additionally, if your slideshow is composed of so many words, your students might get bored. Therefore, we highly suggest that every slide you have should only contain a few words. 

2. Avoid Flashy Transitions

Transitions are okay, but if they are too flashy, your students might get distracted. And if they do, then they won’t be able to focus on your lessons properly. Also, flashy transitions are harmful to the eyes if they become too repetitive. So, stick to classic and straightforward transitions that will not have a massive effect on your slides. 

3. Use Only a Few Number of Colors

See, as we said before, having a distracting presentation for your students should be a no-no. And if you use too many colors for your slides, it can be distracting. Therefore, it is better to use only 2 to 3 colors for your entire slideshow. 

4. Have a Voice Over

Another thing you can apply to your eLearning presentation is a voice-over. Since many students go back on the slideshows you have provided when they want to review for an exam, having a voice-over will help them.
